Annual Meeting and Elections

Greetings,

Spring has finally arrived and not a minute too soon.  After a dreary winter it’s good to see the sun and the blooms on the trees.

Our Pheasant View Homeowners’ Association annual meeting is coming up on June 14, 2011.   I wanted to get the word out early this year as there are three PVHA Board positions opening up and only one member is running for re-election.  I would like those of you who have thought about running for a two year position to submit a short bio so that we may publish it for consideration by our residents to vote upon.  Your bio should be emailed to Secretary@pheasantview.org by May 15 to be included on the ballot.

Our PVHA Board is responsible in part for the upkeep of our neighborhood during the entire year.  We meet once a month, usually the second Tuesday, at the Canton Township municipal offices in a room reserved for us.  Some of PVHA Board’s responsibilities are to collect the annual dues, maintain the common areas, contract snow plowing and most importantly interface with Pheasant Run Roadway Maintenance Association aka PRRMA which is at the township level.  Our sister subdivisions Fairway Pines and Fairways along with Pheasant View and Canton Township are represented on the PRRMA Board.  The majority of our annual dues are paid into PRRMA.  The PRRMA Board is responsible for how the monies are allocated for the roadway repair within the three subdivisions which includes Summit Parkway Blvd.

I realize that we are all busy people but it is important for us to be able to seat a full Pheasant View Homeowners’ Association Board.  If we cannot, we won’t be able to conduct business as we will not be able to establish a quorum and our representation at the PRRMA level may be jeopardized as well.  If this happens we will either end up having to hire a management company or pay PRRMA more money to take care of our business.  Either one of these scenarios will result in us having to spend more, which will impact our annual dues adversely.

Please consider running for a PVHA Board position.  Our subdivision needs you.

Regards,

Dave Nagy – President, PVHA
