Mailbox Initiative Update

September 18, 2017

Thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers and teams going door to door, over 95% of the Pheasant View subdivision homeowners have voted for the standardized mailbox initiative! Thank you to all that voted in support. It is the Board's belief that this action will help beautify our neighborhood and enhance our property values.

The Board has decided to install the mailboxes in two phases. The first phase will commence Fall 2017 and will replace the mailboxes of 85 homeowners. The second phase will take place Spring 2018 and will replace the balance the mailboxes (77 homeowners). The attached map identifies the results of the vote and highlights which homeowners are in phases 1 and 2.

Special recognition to June Waldbauer, Dee Heinze, Jim Hegarty, Kim Wegrzyn, Michelle Swearingen, Sue & Steve Henson and Kathie Jahn for their extraordinary efforts!

Please look for future updates as the project progresses!

In an effort to improve the appearance of the subdivision, the PVHA Board has been developing a plan to cost effectively standardize mailboxes. The intent is to replace them with matching attractive and durable mailboxes which could potentially increase property values throughout the association. Through the collection of previously unpaid assessments, we have accumulated sufficient savings allowing us to offer this mailbox initiative at no cost to you.

Removal of your existing mailbox, the purchase and installation of the new mailbox, and the ongoing mailbox maintenance will be responsibility of the association. This initiative will eliminate the mix of mailboxes we have currently, many of which are in disrepair with some not meeting post office compliance. The board has been working diligently with mailbox providers and the United States Postal Service (USPS) to determine the best product and placement possible.

Your mailbox is your personal property and we will not remove it without your approval as indicated by your response to this e-mail notice. To move forward in a way that is effective both for cost and appearance, we need the support of as many homeowners as possible. We hope that we can count on you to join us in this beautification effort.

The board will move forward with the mailboxes if at least 60% of the subdivision approves the initiative.  Here is a link to the latest proposed placement of the mailboxes based upon 100% participation.  Without full participation, this plan would need to be modified.

Thank you SO much for promptly returning your ballot so that we can move forward with this effort and improve the appearance of the subdivision!
